Chief Physician, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor. He currently serves as Vice President of Peking University Cancer Hospital, Deputy Director of the Department of Lymphoma Medicine, and Deputy Director of the Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education. He is a recipient of the Special Government Allowance from the State Council and a visiting scholar at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. His professional focus lies in clinical diagnosis, treatment and translational research of lymphoma.

Boasting extensive clinical experience in lymphoma management, he excels at developing individualized treatment regimens for rare and refractory lymphoma by integrating multiple modalities including targeted therapy, cellular immunotherapy and autologous transplantation. Together with his team, he has established a system for clinical trial design of novel lymphoma drugs and basic‑translational research, achieving remarkable outcomes in improving the survival rate and quality of life for lymphoma patients. He has led or participated in over 300 domestic and international clinical registration trials, accounting for more than 75% of China’s new‑drug research and development for lymphoma, among which over 80% are projects led by himself, providing relapsed or refractory lymphoma patients with access to innovative drug clinical trials. His team has facilitated the successful marketing of 31 new anti‑lymphoma drugs / new indications, including China’s first domestically‑developed innovative BTK inhibitor approved in the United States, first‑line indications for four domestic PD‑1 monoclonal antibodies, CAR‑T cell therapy (the self‑developed CAR‑T owns two patents), and China’s first ADC drug.

Basic and translational research: His research centers on lymphoma, covering pathogenesis, resistance mechanisms to targeted agents, exploration of novel immunotherapeutic targets, as well as construction and application of lymphoma organoids. He has abundant academic achievements. He was awarded the Second Prize of Chinese Medical Science and Technology Progress Award and other honors. He has presided over multiple national, municipal and provincial research projects, including 5 National Natural Science Foundation of China projects, 1 project for four major chronic diseases, 1 sub‑project of the National Key Research and Development Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and 1 key project of Beijing Natural Science Foundation. He has published more than 100 papers in top international oncology and hematology journals such as Lancet Haematology, Annals of Oncology and Blood. For years, he has presided over the compilation and annual updates of CSCO Lymphoma Guidelines, translated 3 academic monographs as chief translator, and formulated 2 dataset‑related standards.
