Chief Physician and Doctoral Supervisor. He currently serves as Director of the Department of General Internal Medicine and Director of the Department of Lymphoma Medicine at Peking University Cancer Hospital. He has previously held positions including Assistant to the President, Deputy Party Secretary, Vice President, and Party Secretary of Peking University Cancer Hospital. He is a recipient of the Special Government Allowance from the State Council and a consultant expert for the Central Health Care Committee.

Specialty: Diagnosis, treatment and translational research of lymphoma. He graduated from the Department of Clinical Medicine, Third Military Medical University, and was a visiting scholar at the Bone Marrow Transplantation Center of Hadassah Medical Center, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. He is a renowned expert in the field of lymphoma diagnosis and treatment. He pioneered specialized lymphoma‑focused diagnosis and treatment nationwide, and established a model lymphoma diagnosis‑and‑treatment center as well as an autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation center, with more than 100,000 patients treated in total. He led the development of the Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology (CSCO) Lymphoma Diagnosis and Treatment Guidelines, built a national multi‑center research collaboration network, promoted standardized diagnosis and treatment across China, and encouraged grassroots hospitals in more than 30 provinces and municipalities to implement standardized lymphoma clinical practices.

He has led or participated in over 300 domestic and international registered clinical trials, accounting for more than 75% of China’s new‑drug research and development for lymphoma, among which over 80% of the projects are led by him. As of 2024, 31 new anti‑lymphoma drugs or new indications have been approved for marketing in China thanks to his efforts. Five sets of clinical trial data have been incorporated into the US NCCN Guidelines. He keeps advancing the launch of innovative drugs and the optimization of therapeutic strategies to improve patient survival outcomes. He presided over major special projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology, as well as sub‑projects of the 863 Program and 973 Program. As the corresponding author, he has published more than 200 papers in journals including Nature Medicine, Journal of Hematology & Oncology, and Blood.

Awards and Honors: Winner of the 13th WuXi AppTec Life Science and Chemistry Research Award. As the first principal completer, he was awarded the Second Prize of the 2023 Chinese Medical Science and Technology Progress Award. He was honored in the 13th batch of "Beijing Distinguished Scientists, Technologists and Managers with Outstanding Contributions"
