In 1993, he attended the molecular biology technology training course held by the International Atomic Energy Agency in Japan. From June 2001 to June 2003, he worked as a visiting scholar at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center for two years. As a principal investigator, he has obtained the 1997 Hospital Youth Fund, the 2003 Start‑up Fund for Returned Overseas Researchers, two grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, one Wu Jieping Medical Foundation grant, and two Estée Lauder Group grants. His main research focus is on comprehensive therapeutic strategies for breast cancer. He has delivered more than 200 lectures on advances in breast cancer treatment across China and provided English interpretation for over 60 international conferences. He has participated multiple times in the lighting ceremony of the Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer Prevention and Control Campaign. His key clinical and research areas cover the diagnosis and treatment of recurrent, metastatic and de‑novo stage IV breast cancer, with a focus on chemotherapy, endocrine therapy, targeted therapy and immunotherapy for breast cancer. By leading multiple clinical studies on BRCA‑mutated breast cancer, relevant precision‑targeted therapeutic drugs have been launched, incorporated into clinical guidelines and covered by medical insurance. As a co‑lead, he released the Consensus Guidelines for Advanced Breast Cancer in China. He has also conducted research on breast cancer risk‑factor surveys, standardized collection of basic breast cancer data, and AI‑empowered integration. He completed a two‑year study at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
