Chief Physician. He graduated from the Department of Clinical Medicine, Hunan Medical University (Xiangya Medical College of Hunan) in 1983. He has been engaged in clinical work of medical oncology since 1993 and has accumulated rich clinical experience. Since 1996, he has mainly engaged in clinical practice and research of gastroenterology at Peking University Cancer Hospital. From February 2000, he worked as a visiting scholar for one year at the Division of Tumor Molecular Biology, Department of Basic Medicine, University of Tsukuba, Japan, which deepened his understanding of early‑diagnosis research on gastric cancer. From 2003 to 2005, he further pursued advanced studies in the postgraduate refresher program at Peking University. He has presided over and participated in multiple domestic and international multi‑center clinical trials, presented speeches at numerous international academic conferences, published more than 10 papers in core journals, and participated in the compilation and translation of 3 medical monographs. He supervises and trains postgraduate students and visiting physicians, delivers lectures and participates in forums for standardized training of national oncologists, and frequently takes part in multi‑disciplinary consultations and tele‑consultations in Beijing and across China. With over 30 years of clinical practice, he specializes in chemotherapy for gastric cancer, colorectal cancer, esophageal cancer, hepatic, biliary and pancreatic cancers, as well as comprehensive medical treatment for other malignancies, together with gastroscopic diagnosis and therapy. Boasting extensive clinical experience and solid theoretical and practical expertise in digestive system oncology, he is capable of developing individualized treatment modalities and regimens tailored to each patient’s specific conditions.
