Medical career: Graduated from Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology with a bachelor's degree. He obtained his MD from the University of Duisburg-Essen School of Medicine in Germany and his PhD in Pathogen Biology from Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He completed his postdoctoral research at the Institute of Virology, University Hospital Essen, Germany. He has been selected as an Outstanding Young Medical Talent of Guangdong Province, a Top-notch Young Talent under the Guangdong Special Support Program, and a Pearl River Science and Technology New Star. He was honored as "Good Doctor of Yangcheng" in 2023.

Research profile: He has undertaken more than 10 research projects including the National Key R&D Program of the 14th Five-Year Plan, the National Major Special Project for Infectious Disease Prevention and Control of the 13th Five-Year Plan, and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has published over 100 research papers. His main research focuses on new drug development and translational medicine for chronic hepatitis B.
