Master of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, Director of the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Nanfang Hospital, and Academic Leader of the National Key Discipline of Chinese Medicine Nephrology. He has undertaken 19 research projects including the National 863 Program, and won 10 Military Science and Technology Progress Awards. He pioneered the PCMC teaching method and has trained more than 30 masters and doctoral students.

He possesses solid theoretical knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine and rich clinical experience, and is proficient in the theories and approaches of traditional Chinese medicine and integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine. He has published 50 monographs such as *Treatise on Pain Syndromes*, *Handbook for Diagnosis and Treatment of Deficiency Syndromes*, and *Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Kidney Deficiency Diseases*, as well as more than 100 academic papers. He put forward the academic viewpoints of "Treating Nephritis from the Liver" and "Thirty Methods for Tonifying the Kidney".
