He has been engaged in rheumatology since 1985. He holds a Doctoral degree from Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences. Currently, he serves as the Director of the TCM Rheumatology Diagnosis and Treatment Center at Nanfang Hospital, the Academic Leader of the National Key Discipline of TCM Rheumatology, and a Famous TCM Physician of Guangdong Province. He developed the anti-osteoporosis drug "Guling Pill" and its derivative health products, won 5 provincial and ministerial science and technology awards, presided over 8 National Natural Science Foundation projects, published 25 SCI papers, and trained nearly 70 master's and doctoral students.

He has been engaged in the medical, teaching and research work of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine for rheumatic diseases for more than 35 years. He specializes in the integrated TCM and Western medicine diagnosis and treatment of various rheumatic diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, hyperuricemia/gout, spondyloarthritis (ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, reactive arthritis, etc.), Sjögren's syndrome, systemic lupus erythematosus, myositis/dermatomyositis, scleroderma, systemic vasculitis, polymyalgia rheumatica, relapsing polychondritis, fibromyalgia, adult-onset Still's disease, connective tissue disease-associated lung disease, autoimmune liver disease, primary biliary cirrhosis, osteoarthropathy, osteoporosis, rheumatic diseases complicated with pregnancy, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of intractable and critical rheumatic diseases.
