Research interest: Pediatric clinical immunology. He specializes in research on the mechanisms of immunodeficiency diseases, allergic diseases and rheumatic diseases. He has undertaken 9 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, with a total research funding of more than 4 million yuan; published over 100 papers, including more than 50 SCI-indexed papers; won 6 provincial/ministerial and bureau-level scientific research awards; served as chief editor or associate editor for 3 monographs.

He is mainly engaged in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric primary immunodeficiency diseases and allergic diseases. He has diagnosed and treated more than 1,000 cases of primary immunodeficiency diseases, including hypogammaglobulinemia, cellular immunodeficiency, combined immunodeficiency, thymic hypoplasia, chronic granulomatous disease, hyper-IgM (IgE) syndrome, etc. He participated in the development of international guidelines for cow's milk protein allergy. His specialized allergic diseases include food allergy, allergic rhinitis, allergic asthma, skin allergy and so on.
