Overseas training experience: He studied the management of critically ill children and the application of extracorporeal life support technology at Cincinnati Children's Hospital in the United States, and learned the PBL teaching concepts and methods at McMaster University in Canada.Main research directions: Pathogenesis of sepsis, early diagnosis and treatment of sepsis-induced myocardial depression, clinical application of blood purification technology, and the value of critical ultrasound in the precise treatment of pediatric critical illnesses.

He is mainly engaged in the diagnosis and treatment of various pediatric critical illnesses, including sepsis, acute respiratory distress syndrome, acute kidney injury, shock, severe neurological disorders, hematological malignancies and transplant-related complications, and complex congenital heart diseases complicated with infection. He masters and develops extracorporeal life support technologies, including extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and blood purification. He has promoted the application of critical ultrasound in pediatric wards, using visualization tools and non-invasive monitoring of hemodynamic changes in children to guide precise treatment of critically ill pediatric patients. He serves as the lead of the pediatric section of the Chinese Critical Ultrasound Study Group. He treats approximately 600 critically ill children and attends to more than 1,000 pediatric outpatient and emergency cases every year.
