Associate Chief Physician, Administrative Deputy Director of the Department of Extracorporeal Circulation. Graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine in 1994. He joined the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery and worked in surgery and intensive care unit for six years. In 1999, he specialized in cardiothoracic extracorporeal circulation. He once studied extracorporeal life support technology in the intensive care unit of National Taiwan University Hospital, and has made multiple technical exchanges in Seattle and Orlando of the United States, and Berlin of Germany. He has published 8 papers in domestic and foreign journals and participated in writing 2 monographs on extracorporeal circulation. He has taken part in 2 national research projects and 1 municipal bureau-level research project in Shanghai.

He is mainly engaged in extracorporeal circulation perfusion and advanced life support (ECMO), and specializes in extracorporeal circulation perfusion for complex congenital heart diseases in low-weight and very-low-weight patients. He performs more than 500 cases of extracorporeal perfusion for congenital heart surgery every year, especially perfusion for complex congenital heart diseases in neonates and infants, with particular attention to deep hypothermic circulatory arrest and cerebral protection. His department was the first and only one in China to carry out left ventricular assist device (LVAD) therapy. Currently, it is the institution with the largest number of extracorporeal life support procedures after congenital heart surgery in China, with over 3,000 surgical cases and more than 50 extracorporeal life support cases annually, and a success rate of over 50~60%.
