He graduated from the Department of Clinical Medicine, Shanghai Medical University in 1997 with a Bachelor's degree; obtained his Doctoral degree in Cardiothoracic Surgery from the Second Military Medical University in 2002. From 2012 to 2013, he pursued visiting studies in Thoracic Minimally Invasive Surgery at OHSU, USA, and received specialized training in laparoscopic skills under the FLS program in the United States. He has published more than 40 academic papers, including 8 SCI-indexed articles with a maximum single impact factor of 7.356. He has participated in compiling 8 monographs, served as the chief translator for 1 monograph, and holds 4 authorized invention patents.

He has been engaged in clinical work of thoracic surgery for over 20 years and has accumulated extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of esophageal cancer, cardiac cancer, bronchogenic lung cancer, mediastinal tumors and thoracic trauma. He is especially skilled in the diagnosis and minimally invasive treatment of small pulmonary nodules. He is committed to exploring the diagnosis of early-stage lung cancer and multidisciplinary comprehensive treatment of lung cancer mainly based on thoracoscopic surgery.
