Chief Physician and Associate Professor of the Department of Thoracic Surgery, currently serving as the Administrative Deputy Director of the Department of Thoracic Surgery at Shanghai Pulmonary Hospital. After obtaining his Master's degree from Shanghai Medical University in 1999, he joined the Department of Thoracic Surgery at Shanghai Pulmonary Hospital. He received his Doctoral degree from the Second Military Medical University in 2010. In 2006, he was awarded a World Health Organization scholarship to pursue further training at Austin Hospital in Melbourne, Australia. In 2013, he won the Graham Scholarship from the American Association for Thoracic Surgery and completed one year of advanced training at Massachusetts General Hospital of Harvard University, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, and Barnes-Jewish Hospital of Washington University in the United States, focusing on minimally invasive thoracic surgery, tracheal surgery and lung transplantation. He performs over 1000 surgeries annually. The technique has been successfully applied to resection and reconstruction for primary and secondary sternal tumors. He has published more than ten papers as the first author and corresponding author, including 5 SCI papers, and has compiled 3 academic monographs as editor-in-chief and associate editor-in-chief.

He specializes in uniportal minimally invasive surgical treatment for early-stage lung cancer and surgical management of chest wall tumors. Sternal resection and reconstruction is a challenging area in thoracic surgery, featuring difficult surgical planning, high complication rates and susceptibility to infection. This product adopts modular assembly with flexible combinations, addressing the challenges of complicated fabrication of sternal reconstruction prostheses and high surgical failure rates.
