Major Education and Work Experience: Graduated with a bachelor's degree from Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences in 1987, and later obtained a master's degree from Sun Yat-sen University. As one of the first batch of undergraduates with permanent staffing in emergency medicine who stayed at the hospital to establish the independent Emergency Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, he has been working on the front line of emergency clinical practice for 25 years. He successively served as Secretary of the Emergency Department, Deputy Director of the Department in 2005, and Director of the Department in 2009, during which he obtained a master's degree in emergency medicine. He worked as a visiting scholar at the University of Hong Kong from 2001 to 2002. Research Interests: Mainly engaged in clinical and basic research on acute and critical emergency illnesses, especially the comprehensive treatment of cardiovascular emergencies such as chest pain and acute/chronic cardiac insufficiency, as well as cardiopulmonary interaction diseases including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and pneumonia.

Medical Specialties: He has rich experience in the diagnosis, treatment and rescue of internal medicine diseases and acute and critical internal illnesses. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular, respiratory, multiple organ dysfunction disorders and geriatric diseases. He possesses unique experience in emergency infections, airway management and mechanical ventilation, rapid diagnosis and risk stratification of acute and critical illnesses (especially acute chest pain), as well as the training and popularization of first-aid techniques.
