Education and Work Experience: Studied and worked abroad for seven years at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden and the University of Milan in Italy, and obtained his doctoral degree from the University of Milan. After returning to China, he has served as Professor, Chief Physician and Doctoral Supervisor in Cardiology, Department of Internal Medicine, The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. He is currently Director of the Hypertension Center, Director of the Hypertension and Vascular Disease Section, Director of the Third Cardiology Ward, Deputy Director of the Cardiovascular Medicine Division, and Director of the Institute of Geriatrics.

Medical Expertise: He has rich clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of common cardiovascular diseases including hypertension, coronary heart disease, peripheral vascular disease, arrhythmia and heart failure. He specializes in the early prevention, early diagnosis and early treatment of hypertensive vascular disease and coronary heart disease, and holds unique insights into precise diagnosis and individualized management of cardiovascular disorders. Research Interests: Hypertension, vascular biology and atherosclerosis; biomechanics and regulation of vascular homeostasis for disease prevention and treatment.
