Education and Work Experience: He has been engaged in neurological clinical practice after obtaining his bachelor’s degree in Clinical Medicine, and subsequently obtained his Master of Medicine and Doctor of Medicine degrees.

Publications and Research Grants: He has published more than 50 papers, including over 20 SCI articles. He presides over 2 General Programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 major project of Guangdong Province and 5 provincial and ministerial research projects.

Monographs: Chief Editor of Cerebral Edema, Associate Editor of Health Management Handbook for Hypertensive Stroke. He also contributed to Clinical Neurology, Modern Clinical Emergency Medicine, Treatment of Internal Medical Emergencies, Practical General Practitioner Handbook, Stroke and other books.

Awards: He received the Third Prize of the Ministry of Health Science and Technology Award and the Second Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of Guangdong Province.

Research Interests:

1. Diagnosis and treatment of cerebrovascular diseases
2. Therapeutic application of botulinum toxin in focal dystonia and neuropathic pain
3. Diagnosis and management of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease

Medical Expertise: He manages common, complicated and critical neurological disorders, with particular focus on the following areas:

1. Diagnosis and treatment of cerebrovascular diseases, dizziness and vertigo;
2. Botulinum toxin therapy for focal dystonias including blepharospasm (100% efficacy), Meige syndrome (100% efficacy), hemifacial spasm, bruxism and spasmodic torticollis; as well as neuropathic pain (trigeminal neuralgia, post-herpetic neuralgia), palmoplantar hyperhidrosis and sialorrhea;
3. Diagnosis and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases including Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease.
