He graduated from the Department of Clinical Medicine of Sun Yat-sen Medical University in 1994, obtained his doctoral degree in Neurology in 2004, was promoted to Chief Physician in 2012 and Professor in 2017. He once received further training at the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong. His research focuses on motor neuron disease, myopathy and peripheral neuropathy. He has rich clinical experience in the diagnosis and management of rare neurological diseases, and devotes himself to exploring the pathogenesis of motor neuron disease and screening of therapeutic drugs.

Medical Expertise: Specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of complicated and rare neurological disorders, with a focus on various types of amyotrophy, including motor neuron disease (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) and neuromuscular diseases such as Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, progressive muscular dystrophy and spinal muscular atrophy.
