Other Information: After completing his undergraduate and postgraduate studies at Sun Yat-sen Medical University (now Sun Yat-sen University), he has been working in the Department of Pediatrics at The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. His department is a subspecialty under the National Key Clinical Specialty for Pediatrics and the National Key Clinical Specialty for Oncology.

He has presided over multiple research projects including key projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, provincial and municipal grants. He has published more than 100 papers, among which over 30 SCI articles are published as first or corresponding author.

He led the formulation of two Chinese clinical guidelines for childhood leukemia and tumors: Chinese Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Childhood Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia and Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Management of Tumor Lysis Syndrome in Children. He also participated in developing several other guidelines and expert consensus on pediatric hematological diseases, leukemia and childhood tumors. He spearheaded the formulation of Guangdong provincial “Diagnostic Criteria and Clinical Pathway for Childhood Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia”.

He initiates and organizes multiple multicenter clinical studies on childhood leukemia and tumors across the South China region.

Medical Expertise: Clinical management of hematological malignancies, tumors, rheumatic and autoimmune diseases, and Gaucher disease in patients under 18 years old, including pediatric hematological disorders, leukemia, tumors, Langerhans cell histiocytosis, refractory systemic lupus erythematosus, juvenile idiopathic arthritis, dermatomyositis, pulmonary hemosiderosis and Gaucher disease.
