He has been working in the Department of Pediatrics of the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat‑sen University since graduating from Sun Yat‑sen University of Medical Sciences in 1990. Currently, he serves as Director of the Department of Pediatrics, Director of the Pediatrics Teaching and Research Section, Director of the Pediatric Resident Training Base, Professor, Chief Physician, Doctoral and Postdoctoral Supervisor. He is also Guangdong Provincial Distinguished Teacher, Baosteel Excellent Teacher and Distinguished Teacher of Sun Yat‑sen University.

Basic and clinical research on pediatric renal and rheumatic diseases.

Clinical Expertise

He is proficient in the diagnosis and treatment of common and frequently occurring diseases involving the respiratory, digestive, urinary and other systems in children, and has extensive experience in managing severe and complicated illnesses, as well as rare pediatric diseases and genetic disorders. He specializes in pediatric urinary and rheumatic immune diseases, including hereditary nephropathy in children, Henoch‑Schönlein purpura nephritis, acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, hematuria, proteinuria, tubulointerstitial nephropathy, IgA nephropathy, refractory nephrotic syndrome, vasculitis, urinary tract infection, enuresis, systemic lupus erythematosus, idiopathic arthritis, etc. He also carries out perioperative evaluation and management for pediatric kidney transplantation, and develops renal replacement therapy regimens including peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis.
