Education and Work Experience

He completed his undergraduate, master’s and doctoral studies at Sun Yat‑sen University of Medical Sciences. In 2014, he studied the clinical diagnosis and management of diabetic neuropathy at the University of Sheffield, UK. From 2017 to 2019, he worked as a visiting scholar at the University of Maryland, USA, conducting research on the pathogenesis and genetic analysis of endocrine and metabolic disorders. He has been working in the Department of Endocrinology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat‑sen University since 2009. He has long been engaged in research on the treatment and mechanism of diabetes and its complications, as well as genetic analysis of endocrine and metabolic inherited diseases. He has published multiple SCI articles in high‑profile international journals including JASN. He has presided over many research projects such as the Youth Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, General Program of Guangdong Natural Science Foundation and grants from Guangdong Provincial Health Commission.

Research Interests

Treatment of diabetes and its complications, and genetic analysis of endocrine and metabolic inherited diseases.

Clinical Expertise

He has sound clinical experience in intensive therapy for diabetes, diabetic complications, classification of special types of diabetes, thyroid diseases and related conditions.
