Education and Work Experience

He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Medicine from Sun Yat‑sen University of Medical Sciences in 1996 and Master of Medicine in Internal Medicine from Sun Yat‑sen University in 2005. He worked in the Department of Internal Medicine of the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat‑sen University from 1996 to 2002, and has been working in the Department of Rheumatology and Immunology of the hospital since 2002. He currently serves as Chief Physician and is honored as Guangdong Outstanding Young Medical Talent.

Research Grants

He has presided over or participated in 20 national, provincial and ministerial research projects, among which 5 projects were led by him as the principal investigator.

Publications

He has published more than 40 articles in key domestic and international medical journals. In the past five years, he has published 11 SCI papers as first author, co-first author or corresponding author in leading international rheumatology journals including Arthritis & Rheumatology, Rheumatology, The Journal of Rheumatology, Clinical and Experimental Rheumatology and Clinical Rheumatology. He has contributed to the books Handbook for Clinicians, Clinical Diagnosis and Therapeutic Regimens for Endocrine and Rheumatic Diseases, and Perioperative Pathophysiology and Clinical Practice.

Research Interests

Pathogenesis and treatment of rheumatic and autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and systemic lupus erythematosus.

Clinical Expertise

He has long been engaged in clinical practice and research of rheumatic and immune disorders. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of spondyloarthropathies including ankylosing spondylitis, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, gout and osteoarthritis, as well as systemic autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus, systemic vasculitis, dermatomyositis, Sjögren’s syndrome and scleroderma.
