1981–1987: Six-year undergraduate program in Clinical Medicine, Sun Yat‑sen University of Medical Sciences. He was assigned to the Department of Nephrology, the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat‑sen University upon graduation and has worked there ever since. 1987–1994: Resident Physician, Department of Internal Medicine 1994–1995: Chief Resident 1995: Attending Physician and Lecturer of Nephrology 2001: Associate Chief Physician 2007: Associate Professor 2022: Chief Physician

Research Profile

His main research interest is the pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of glomerular diseases. He has published more than 20 papers as first author in SCI-indexed journals and domestic core journals. He has participated in compiling books including Contemporary Internal Medicine and Essentials in Diagnosis and Management of Kidney Diseases. He undertakes teaching for postgraduates, undergraduates and visiting physicians, and works on the frontline of clinical practice. He has conducted in-depth research on primary and secondary renal diseases and renal replacement therapy, with profound expertise particularly in glomerular diseases such as nephrotic syndrome and lupus nephritis.

Clinical Expertise

He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of various kidney diseases, including acute and chronic glomerulonephritis, nephrotic syndrome, lupus nephritis, urinary tract infection and end-stage kidney disease.
