Research Interests
- Basic and clinical research on the pathogenesis and pharmacotherapy of ARDS secondary to sepsis, focusing on apoptotic signaling pathways, ghrelin and Foxm1-regulated BMSC therapy for septic ARDS
- Epidemiology, pathogenesis and pharmacotherapy of pulmonary thromboembolism
- Nutritional support for respiratory and medical critical illnesses, ventilator-associated pneumonia, diagnosis and management of sepsis
Clinical Expertise
He has been engaged in clinical practice, teaching and research of respiratory diseases and medical critical illnesses for nearly 40 years. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disorders, infectious diseases and multiple organ failure. He has extensive experience in the management of acute pulmonary embolism, venous thromboembolism, chronic cough, bronchial asthma, COPD, bronchiectasis, pulmonary tuberculosis, pleural diseases (pneumothorax, pleural effusion), interstitial lung disease, acute and chronic respiratory failure, ARDS, various infectious diseases, multiple organ dysfunction and sepsis.
