Education and Work Experience

Graduated from the seven-year Master’s Program in Clinical Medicine, Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences in 1998 and has worked at the hospital ever since. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine in Internal Medicine from Sun Yat-sen University in 2005. 2006–2007: Visiting Scholar and Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, USA. 2013–2015: Visiting Scholar and Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW), USA.

Research Interests

He serves as the lead of the Hospital’s Multidisciplinary Standardized Diagnosis and Treatment Center for Stage III Lung Cancer and Integrated Lung Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment Center, and the chief expert for online consultation of the hospital’s lung cancer MDT team. He is also one of the principal founders of the MDT team for management of adverse events from cancer immunotherapy. Over the past five years, he has acted as the principal investigator (PI) at the sub-center for more than 100 international and domestic multicenter clinical trials on lung cancer, and has led over 10 horizontal research projects related to lung cancer. He has published more than 100 papers in core medical journals including The New England Journal of Medicine, Molecular Cancer, Clinical Cancer Research, Cancer Letters, Chest, Respirology, as well as the Chinese Journal of Oncology, Chinese Journal of Internal Medicine, and Chinese Journal of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases.

Clinical Expertise

He possesses in-depth understanding and abundant clinical experience in the management of respiratory diseases. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of common and critical respiratory conditions including lung cancer, pulmonary infections, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, bronchial asthma, interstitial lung disease and pleural diseases. He also has outstanding competence in diagnosing and managing rare and complicated respiratory disorders.
