Clinical Expertise He received his bachelor’s degree in 1996 and completed postdoctoral training at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, USA. He has published 17 SCI papers as (co‑)first or corresponding author, covering irritable bowel syndrome, gastroesophageal reflux disease and other functional gastrointestinal disorders. His research includes population‑based epidemiology, meta‑analysis of cognitive behavioral therapy, and gut microbiota and microecology studies.

He has long been engaged in clinical gastroenterology practice. He specializes in the diagnosis and management of functional gastrointestinal disorders (irritable bowel syndrome, functional dyspepsia, chronic constipation) and gastroesophageal reflux disease. He has extensive experience in managing pancreatic diseases such as acute and chronic pancreatitis, as well as liver diseases including viral hepatitis, liver cirrhosis, autoimmune liver disease and inherited liver disease. He is adept at tackling complicated and difficult cases.
