Education and Work Experience

Sep 1988 – Jul 2004: Completed undergraduate (Clinical Medicine), master’s and doctoral training at Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences. 2002–2003: Visiting Scholar at Stanford University School of Medicine, USA. After graduating with his bachelor’s degree in 1993, he joined the Department of Internal Medicine and Department of Gastroenterology at The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences. He is currently a Chief Physician.

He has published dozens of SCI papers and participated in compiling 5 academic monographs.

Research Interests

Endoscopic diagnosis and treatment of digestive diseases. He has been invited by more than 40 hospitals in and outside Guangdong Province on many occasions to provide guidance and assistance in carrying out minimally invasive endoscopic procedures, enjoying a high reputation within Guangdong Province.

He has over 25 years of clinical experience in gastroenterology, focusing on endoscopic diagnosis and minimally invasive endoscopic therapy. He has rich clinical experience and specializes in endoscopic diagnosis and minimally invasive endoscopic treatment of various complicated and critical digestive disorders. He has profound expertise in the diagnosis and minimally invasive resection (ESD) of early gastrointestinal mucosal cancers and submucosal tumors, endoscopic therapy for pancreaticobiliary diseases (ERCP), endoscopic treatment for achalasia (POEM), and natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery (NOTES) for intra-abdominal diseases.
