Work Experience

He has been working in the Department of Gastroenterology, The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University since graduation. He was a visiting physician at Ulm University in Germany and Sheba Medical Center in Israel. He completed his postdoctoral fellowship at Cleveland Clinic, USA (2017–2020). He has published multiple papers in top-tier gastroenterology journals including Gastroenterology, Gut, The Lancet Gastroenterology & Hepatology, and Radiology. He was listed among the World’s Top 2% Scientists in 2022 and 2023.

Clinical Expertise

He is proficient in the diagnosis and management of common gastroenterological diseases. His main clinical focus is inflammatory bowel disease and small bowel disorders. He specializes in enteroscopic diagnosis and treatment of various small bowel conditions, endoscopic minimally invasive therapy for inflammatory bowel disease (such as strictureplasty), and intestinal ultrasound monitoring for bowel diseases. He also has extensive experience in the management of rare digestive diseases (hereditary angioedema, IgG4-related disease, familial Mediterranean fever, etc.) and autoimmune enteropathy.
