Education and Work Experience

He graduated from the Department of Clinical Medicine, Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences in 1994 and has been working in the Department of Gastroenterology at The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University ever since. He received further training at Prince of Wales Hospital in Hong Kong from 2005 to 2006 and obtained his Doctor of Medicine in Internal Medicine from Sun Yat-sen University in 2007.

Research Interests

Inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis), rare diseases, small bowel diseases, and enteroscopic diagnosis and treatment techniques.

Clinical Expertise

He has nearly 30 years of clinical experience in gastroenterology. He is experienced in the diagnosis and management of inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis), rare diseases (hereditary angioedema, IgG4-related disease, familial Mediterranean fever, glycogen storage disease, etc.), autoimmune enteropathy, celiac disease, PD‑1-related immune enterocolitis, protein-losing enteropathy, Peutz-Jeghers syndrome and other complicated small bowel disorders. He is skilled in enteroscopy, capsule endoscopy and endoscopic ultrasonography. His main research focuses on inflammatory bowel disease, rare diseases and small bowel diseases.
