He was a visiting scholar at Singapore General Hospital and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in the United States. He has been engaged in the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic pain for nearly 30 years. His main research focuses on lumbar spine-derived pain and postherpetic neuralgia. He has co-authored four monographs and published more than 20 related articles.
