Education and Work Experience

1986 – 1991: Integrated Master‑Doctoral Program, West China School of Stomatology, Doctoral Degree 1994 – Present: Department of Stomatology, The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. He has served successively as Associate Professor, Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, Academic Leader (Chief Expert).

Research Interests

Oral implantology, treatment of oral and maxillofacial tumors, reconstruction of oral and maxillofacial trauma, plastic surgery for oral and maxillofacial deformities, surgical repair of cleft lip and palate, and surgical treatment of trigeminal neuralgia.

Clinical Expertise

He specializes in oral implantology, including implant restoration for various tooth loss, immediate implantation and immediate restoration after tooth extraction, computer‑designed minimally invasive dental implantation, implant rehabilitation for severe jaw atrophy, zygomatic implant surgery and other complex implant cases. He is skilled in the diagnosis and management of head and neck tumors, with extensive experience in tumor resection and reconstruction of post‑surgical defects. He treats various craniofacial deformities such as maxillary and mandibular prognathism or retrusion and facial asymmetry. He manages maxillofacial fractures involving the mandible, maxilla, zygoma, orbit and panfacial fractures. He performs cleft lip and palate repair, including reconstruction of alveolar bone defects and nasal deformities. He also provides surgical treatment for trigeminal neuralgia.
