He has long been engaged in the diagnosis and treatment of various liver diseases and liver transplantation. He specializes in the comprehensive management of advanced hepatocellular carcinoma and is experienced in the rescue of critical and complicated conditions such as liver cirrhosis and liver failure. His signature technique is normothermic machine perfusion liver transplantation, which addresses the global challenge of organ ischemic injury. This innovation has reduced the incidence of reperfusion syndrome by 92.1%, cut the peak level of alanine aminotransferase (a liver injury marker) by 77.7%, and lifted the 1-year patient survival rate by 9.8%. It greatly lowers the risks of transplantation and delivers internationally leading clinical outcomes.
