Education and Work Experience
He completed the seven-year medical program at Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2010. He obtained his doctoral degree in Surgery from Sun Yat-sen University in 2015. During his PhD training, he received a Chinese Government Scholarship for a 2-year joint training program at Harvard Medical School and Weill Cornell Medicine in the United States. He has remained at the hospital after graduation.
Research Achievements
He has published more than 20 SCI papers as first, corresponding or co-corresponding author in high-impact journals including Advanced Materials, Nucleic Acids Research, Science Advances and American Journal of Transplantation. He is also a co-author of several articles in top journals such as Cell and Immunity. He serves as a reviewer for transplantation journals including Transplantation, Transplant International and Frontiers in Transplantation.

He has participated in more than 1000 kidney transplant procedures, including over 200 pediatric donor kidney transplants and nearly 100 autologous kidney transplants. He has unique insights and extensive experience in perioperative management for elderly recipients (up to 82 years old), highly sensitized recipients and transplant patients with diabetes or other comorbidities. He is proficient in managing post-transplant complications, such as viral infections (BK virus, CMV, parvovirus B19, etc.), acute and chronic cellular and antibody-mediated rejection, proteinuria, recurrent renal diseases and ureteral strictures.
