Research He is dedicated to technological innovation and translational research of organ medicine. He has published more than 20 SCI papers as first or corresponding author in journals including Gut and Journal of Hepatology. He holds 3 authorized US invention patents and 7 Chinese patents. He presides over one sub-project of the National Key Research and Development Program and two projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
Clinical Expertise He has long been engaged in the diagnosis and treatment of various liver diseases and liver transplantation. He specializes in the comprehensive management of advanced hepatocellular carcinoma, and has rich experience in the treatment of critical and complicated conditions such as liver cirrhosis and liver failure. His signature technique is ischemia-free liver transplantation, which addresses the global challenge of organ ischemic injury. This technique reduces the incidence of reperfusion syndrome by 92.1%, lowers the peak value of alanine aminotransferase (a liver injury marker) by 77.7%, and increases the 1-year patient survival rate by 9.8%. It significantly reduces transplant-related risks and achieves internationally leading clinical outcomes.
