Education and Work Experience He received his bachelor’s degree in Medicine from Jiangxi Medical College in 1990. He worked at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Jiangxi Medical College from 1990 to 2005, and obtained his master’s degree in Otorhinolaryngology from Jiangxi Medical College between 1993 and 1996. He has been working at the Otorhinolaryngology Hospital of The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University since 2005 and is currently a Chief Physician. He completed and obtained his professional Doctor of Medicine in Otorhinolaryngology (Clinical Doctorate) at Sun Yat-sen University from 2005 to 2008.

Publications & Research Grants He has undertaken 7 research grants for laryngeal cancer, including 3 as principal investigator. He has published more than 20 papers, among which 16 are SCI articles. He has published 7 laryngeal cancer-related papers as the first author, including 3 SCI papers and 2 papers in Chinese core journals of the Chinese Medical Association series.

Research Interests Clinical and basic research on laryngeal cancer and hypopharyngeal cancer, surgical treatment of head and neck tumors, laryngeal microsurgery, sleep-disordered breathing.

Clinical Expertise He specializes in laryngeal, hypopharyngeal, head and neck tumors and laryngopharyngeal disorders. He is particularly experienced in surgical management of head and neck tumors involving the larynx, pharynx, parapharyngeal space, skull base, nose and neck. He applies laryngoscopic and laryngeal microsurgical techniques for the treatment of laryngeal cancer, vocal fold polyps, laryngeal leukoplakia, laryngeal papilloma and other conditions. In addition, he has rich experience in the diagnosis and treatment of common diseases of the ear, nose, pharynx, larynx and neck, sleep-disordered breathing, as well as endoscopic sinus surgery for sinonasal diseases.
