Education and Work Experience He graduated from the seven-year Clinical Medicine Program of Zhongshan School of Medicine, Sun Yat-sen University with a master’s degree in 2009 and joined the hospital thereafter. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree in 2016. Supported by the Chinese Cancer Foundation, he received clinical training in head and neck surgery at MSKCC and MD Anderson Cancer Center in the United States, and conducted two years of research at the UPMC Eye & Ear Institute. He has published more than 30 papers as first or corresponding author in journals including Lancet Oncology, Advanced Science, EClinicalMedicine, AAAI, Head and Neck and Laryngoscope, focusing on early diagnosis and treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma and endoscopic minimally invasive skull base surgery. He holds 3 authorized national invention patents (first inventor), 2 software copyrights (first author), 2 international invention patents (second inventor) and 4 utility model patents. He serves as the principal investigator of two sub-projects under the National Key Research and Development Program and Major Special Projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China. He was awarded the First Prize of the Science and Technology Award of the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association (2023), the First Prize of Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award (2024), and the First Prize of Huayi Science and Technology Award (2025). He has presided over 5 national and provincial research grants and 1 Young Teacher Cultivation Fund of Sun Yat-sen University sponsored by the Ministry of Education.

Research Interests Pathogenesis of chronic nasal mucosal inflammation; early diagnosis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma; surgical treatment of recurrent nasopharyngeal carcinoma; targeted therapy and immunotherapy for skull base tumors.

Clinical Expertise He specializes in endoscopic minimally invasive surgery for various nasal inflammatory diseases and sinonasal skull base tumors. He has extensive experience in the minimally invasive surgery and comprehensive management of rhinosinusitis, nasal polyps, olfactory disorders, nasal septal deviation, as well as snoring in adults and children caused by adenoid and tonsillar hypertrophy. He is proficient in endoscopic surgery for naso-orbital disorders (traumatic optic nerve injury, chronic dacryocystitis), cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea, and benign and malignant tumors of the paranasal sinuses and skull base. He has profound attainments in the early diagnosis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma and minimally invasive surgery for recurrent nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
