Education and Work Experience He obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree from Jinan University in 1998 and completed his postdoctoral research at Sun Yat-sen University in 2003. He has worked in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology of a tertiary hospital for more than 24 years. He is one of the earliest clinicians in China to perform endoscopic transnasal optic nerve decompression and has the largest case volume of this procedure, with relevant research reaching an internationally leading level. He is also among the pioneers of endoscopic transnasal frontal sinus surgery in China, and his research in this field is domestically leading. Since 1995, he has participated in the popularization of endoscopic sinus surgery and delivered lectures in more than 40 training workshops on rhinologic endoscopic minimally invasive surgery.

He has carried out clinical research on endoscopic sinus surgery since 1991 and is one of the earliest rhinologists engaged in this field in China. To date, he has independently performed over 3,000 endoscopic sinus surgeries, including sinusotomy for chronic rhinosinusitis and nasal polyps, Lothrop procedure, resection of inverted papilloma of the nasal cavity, excision of juvenile nasopharyngeal angiofibroma, resection of localized malignant sinonasal tumors, endoscopic repair of cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea, resection of skull base tumors, transsphenoidal pituitary surgery, endoscopic transnasal optic nerve decompression, orbital decompression, dacryocystorhinostomy and removal of intraorbital foreign bodies.
