Education and Work Experience He graduated from the seven-year Clinical Medicine Program of Zhongshan School of Medicine, Sun Yat-sen University, and obtained his doctoral degree in the Department of Joint Surgery, The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, under the supervision of distinguished joint surgeons Professor Liao Weiming and Professor Sheng Puyi. He was promoted to Associate Chief Physician in December 2016, Chief Physician in December 2021, and transferred to Professor in December 2025. He is currently Doctoral Supervisor, Master’s Supervisor and Co-supervisor for postdoctoral researchers.

Research Interests

1. Molecular mechanisms and clinical research on degeneration and repair of knee articular cartilage;
2. Molecular mechanisms and clinical research of rheumatoid arthritis;
3. Clinical outcomes and follow-up studies of robot-assisted joint arthroplasty.

Clinical Expertise Visiting Scholar at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, USA. He received systematic training in joint arthroplasty at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, USA and Nagoya University School of Medicine, Japan. His main scope of practice includes: (1) Stepwise and individualized whole-course management of knee osteoarthritis, including knee arthroscopy, peri-knee osteotomy and knee arthroplasty; (2) Arthroplasty for end-stage disorders of the hip, knee, ankle, shoulder and elbow joints; (3) Comprehensive treatment of complications after joint replacement such as infection, loosening and fracture, including revision arthroplasty; (4) Surgical treatment of rheumatoid arthritis; (5) Surgical treatment of hip fractures.
