He obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree in Clinical Medicine from Sun Yat-sen University in 2012 and has worked at the hospital ever since. He was selected for the National Outstanding Talents Training Program for Western Medicine Physicians Studying Traditional Chinese Medicine, under the supervision of Academician Wang Qi, a Master of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 2019, he was recognized as an Outstanding Young Medical Talent of Guangdong Province by the Guangdong Provincial Health Commission.

Research: He has conducted in-depth research on the pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of andrological diseases. He presides over 2 National Natural Science Foundation projects, as well as multiple research grants including the Doctoral Fund of the Ministry of Education and the Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province. He has published numerous papers as the first or corresponding author in journals such as Biomaterials, Cell Death & Disease and Asian Journal of Andrology.

He is the chief editor of Male Reproductive Health, Male Infertility and Eugenics, Expert Guide to Male Infertility, and Vital Sign: Sexual Function as a Marker of Male Health. He has participated in compiling many monographs, including Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Andrological Diseases (2022 Edition), Clinical Routines for Andrological Diseases, Diagnosis and Treatment of Premature Ejaculation, Rare and Uncommon Uro-andrological Diseases, Andrological Surgery (People’s Medical Publishing House), Microsurgical Andrology (People’s Medical Publishing House), Clinical Practice Guidelines in Reproductive Medicine, and Case Discussions on Difficult Cases in Assisted Reproductive Technology.

Clinical Expertise: Integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine management of male infertility (oligoasthenoteratozoospermia, azoospermia, high sperm DNA fragmentation index, etc.), sexual dysfunction (erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, low libido, etc.), varicocele, prostatic diseases and other andrological disorders. He specializes in improving sperm quality via integrated therapy to help infertile men achieve natural pregnancy and eugenics, and to boost the success rate of assisted reproduction (intrauterine insemination and IVF). He also manages male factors contributing to recurrent miscarriage or IVF failure in female partners, and male genetic conditions including Klinefelter syndrome, Kallmann syndrome, Y-chromosome microdeletion, congenital absence of the vas deferens, and other genetic or chromosomal abnormalities.
