Research Interests: He/She has long been engaged in basic and clinical research on abdominal wall function, gastrointestinal tumors and immune regulation, focusing on the regulatory mechanism of the complement immune system on gastrointestinal function. He/She has published more than 50 SCI papers as first or corresponding author concerning hernia, infectious immunity, nutrition and digestive tumors, with over 2000 citations in total. He/She presides over 2 National Natural Science Foundation projects and participates in several others. His/Her current work focuses on minimally invasive surgery (including digestive endoscopy) and clinical research for various types of hernias and gastrointestinal tumors.

Clinical Expertise: He/She is proficient in performing digestive tract examination and treatment via various endoscopic approaches (minimally invasive and endoscopic procedures). His/Her main indications are as follows:

1. Early gastrointestinal tumors: intramucosal carcinoma, high/low-grade intraepithelial neoplasia, submucosal tumors such as small stromal tumors, adenomas and gastrointestinal polyps.
2. Internal abdominal hernias and gastrointestinal motility disorders: hiatal hernia, refractory gastroesophageal reflux disease, achalasia, gastroparesis, etc.
3. Common surgical conditions (endoscopic treatment only): internal hemorrhoids, appendicitis (ERAT), constipation (fecal microbiota transplantation).
4. Simple obesity: endoscopic intragastric balloon placement.
