Work Experience: Obtained Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Medicine from Sun Yat-sen University. He has been engaged in clinical practice of gastrointestinal surgery at The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University for a long time after graduation.

Grants and Publications: Has published more than 30 SCI papers as the first or corresponding author.

Research Interests:

1. Diagnosis and treatment of colorectal cancer, gastric cancer and gastrointestinal stromal tumors; diagnosis and management of hereditary gastrointestinal tumors
2. Diagnosis and surgical treatment of various hernias and abdominal wall defects
3. Minimally invasive surgery for obesity and metabolic diseases (such as diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, etc.)
4. Surgical nutritional therapy
5. Surgical treatment of inflammatory bowel disease

Specialties: Engaged in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of gastrointestinal tumors and hereditary gastrointestinal tumors. He has in-depth research and rich experience in the standardized diagnosis and treatment of gastric cancer, colorectal cancer, obesity and related metabolic diseases, gastrointestinal stromal tumors, gastrointestinal neuroendocrine tumors and inflammatory bowel disease, and performs surgical treatment for these conditions. He specializes in the surgical management of indirect inguinal hernia, direct inguinal hernia, incisional hernia, parastomal hernia and abdominal wall defects. He is skilled in surgical treatment for obesity and related metabolic disorders including diabetes, hypertension and hyperlipidemia.
