Publications: He has conducted in-depth research on the biological behavior and surgical management of digestive tract tumors including colorectal cancer, gastric cancer, neuroendocrine neoplasms and gastrointestinal stromal tumors. He has published more than 100 papers in high-impact SCI journals such as Int J Cancer, Ann Surg Oncol, Cancer Research, Cancer Letters, as well as authoritative Chinese journals of the Chinese Medical Association series.

Research Interests: Research on surgical strategies to improve long-term survival of patients with colorectal cancer and gastric cancer. He commenced clinical practice in 1995. He obtained his doctoral degree in surgery, completed postdoctoral training in gastrointestinal surgery, and was promoted to Chief Physician. His research on the surgical treatment and biological behavior of gastrointestinal malignancies (especially colorectal cancer, gastric cancer and neuroendocrine neoplasms) has been published in leading international journals including Int J Cancer, Ann Surg Oncol, Cancer Research and Cancer Letters. His research achievements have won provincial and national Science and Technology Progress Awards.

Specialties: He has extensive experience in the surgical management of digestive tract malignancies (colorectal cancer, gastric cancer, neuroendocrine neoplasms). His expertise covers:

1. Standardized surgery for colon and rectal cancer (laparoscopic radical resection, TME, CME, ultra-low sphincter-preserving surgery, function-preserving procedures, No.253 lymph node dissection with preservation of the left colic artery, pelvic lateral lymph node dissection, D3 radical resection and extended radical resection);
2. Standardized surgery for gastric cancer (laparoscopic radical resection, D2 and D2+ lymph node dissection, three-dimensional and intra-sheath lymph node dissection, para-aortic lymph node dissection);
3. Standardized radical resection and cytoreductive surgery for digestive neuroendocrine neoplasms (NEN);
4. Pancreatic surgery (pancreaticoduodenectomy, distal pancreatectomy);
5. Surgery for gastrointestinal stromal tumors.
