Work Experience: 1988 – 1993: Faculty of Medicine, Shanxi Medical College 1995 – 1998: Master’s Program in Surgery, The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences. Awarded the “Ministry of Health – Daiichi Pharmaceutical (Japan)” Outstanding Graduate and Outstanding Graduate of Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences in 1997. He has been working in the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery, The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University with excellent academic performance after graduation. Qualified as Attending Physician in 1999. Awarded Doctor of Clinical Medicine by Sun Yat-sen University in June 2003, and received the Guangdong Nanyue Outstanding Doctoral Student Scholarship in the same year. Promoted to Associate Professor of Surgery in 2005. Visiting Fellowship at the Department of General Surgery, University of Massachusetts Medical Center (Worcester, MA, USA) in 2000. Visiting Fellowship at the Department of Surgery, Queen Mary Hospital, The University of Hong Kong in 2003. Promoted to Chief Physician in 2013. Appointed Deputy Director of the Endoscopy Center of The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University in 2017. Participated in the preparation of The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University (Nansha) in 2018. He serves as Vice President and Executive Director of Gastrointestinal Surgery of The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University (Nansha).

Specialties: He routinely performs laparoscopic radical gastrectomy, resection of gastrointestinal stromal tumors, laparoscopic radical resection of colon and rectal cancers, and function-preserving radical resection for colorectal cancer. He is familiar with robot-assisted radical surgery for gastrointestinal tumors. He specializes in surgical treatment of benign and malignant pancreatic diseases and is proficient in procedures such as pancreaticoduodenectomy, radical resection of middle and lower esophageal cancer, and surgical management of benign and malignant duodenal tumors. He has extensive experience in various surgical treatments for inguinal hernia and incisional hernia, as well as common anorectal diseases including different types of hemorrhoids. He also performs bariatric and metabolic surgery.
