He has published 32 SCI papers as the first or corresponding author in journals including Cancer Communications, Cancer Research, JECCR, Cancer Letters, Cell Death & Disease and Int J Cancer. He presides over 10 research projects funded by national, provincial and municipal foundations.

He is proficient in laparoscopic and digestive endoscopic techniques to deliver minimally invasive treatment with enhanced recovery. Adhering to the concepts of enhanced recovery after surgery and minimally invasive surgery to facilitate early recovery, he also emphasizes home nutritional therapy and comprehensive eco-immunonutrition to provide holistic care for patients.

He has long been dedicated to gastrointestinal surgery. He has in-depth research and extensive experience in the standardized management of gastric cancer, colorectal cancer, gastrointestinal stromal tumors, inflammatory bowel disease and benign anal conditions (anal fistula, hemorrhoids). He specializes in laparoscopic surgery for gastric cancer and colorectal cancer, with rich experience in function-preserving radical resection for rectal cancer and sphincter-preserving surgery for low rectal cancer.
