3. Clinical and basic research of hepatic malignancies He has presided over 6 National Natural Science Foundation projects, 1 Major Project of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, and nearly 10 provincial and ministerial research projects, with fruitful research achievements.

1. He has extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of various complicated and challenging pancreatic, biliary and hepatic diseases.
2. He specializes in robotic and laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery. He has pioneered demanding procedures including robotic pancreaticoduodenectomy, central pancreatectomy, radical resection for hilar cholangiocarcinoma, mesohepatectomy and right hepatectomy, continuously pushing the boundaries of surgical indications. He has successfully performed robotic pancreaticoduodenectomy for multiple super-elderly patients aged over 85 (the oldest being 91 years old). To date, he has completed more than 1,300 robotic hepatobiliary-pancreatic operations, among which nearly 900 are pancreatic procedures. He has also pioneered remote robotic pancreaticoduodenectomy and other hepatobiliary-pancreatic surgeries, with over 10 such cases completed. His technical level ranks among the national advanced and the leading in South China, making him one of the leading experts in this field in China.
3. He specializes in surgery-centered comprehensive treatment for pancreatic cancer, pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms, cholangiocarcinoma, liver cancer and other malignancies.
