Work Experience: He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the former Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences in July 1993 and later obtained his Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Surgery. He received advanced training at Queen Mary Hospital, The University of Hong Kong, and the School of Medicine, University of Washington, USA.

Publications and Monographs: Since commencing clinical practice, he has published more than 80 academic papers in influential domestic and international journals. He has presided over 8 provincial and ministerial research and teaching grants, and obtained 3 provincial and ministerial research achievement awards. He is the chief editor of 6 academic monographs and a co-author of another 6 books.

Honors: Nanyue Outstanding Teacher, Good Doctor of The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, and Lingnan Famous Doctor.

Research Interests: Basic and clinical research on hepatobiliary, pancreatic and splenic diseases, with a special focus on surgical and comprehensive treatment of hepatobiliary and pancreatic tumors.

Specialties: He has been engaged in clinical practice of hepatobiliary-pancreatic-splenic surgery after graduation. He specializes in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of biliary tumors, pancreatic tumors, liver tumors, hepatolithiasis and portal hypertension. He has rich experience in managing severe and complicated hepatobiliary-pancreatic-splenic conditions. He has profound expertise in both conventional open surgery and minimally invasive techniques including laparoscopy, choledochoscopy, duodenoscopy and Da Vinci robotic surgery for hepatobiliary and pancreatic disorders.
