Work Experience: Jul 2004 – Present: Attending Physician, Associate Chief Physician and Chief Physician, Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery, The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. He received clinical training at the Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Center of St. Vincent Hospital, USA. He has presided over 12 municipal and provincial research projects, published more than 60 papers in core domestic and international journals, including over 30 SCI papers as first or corresponding author. He was awarded the Second Prize of Guangdong Medical Science and Technology Achievement Award.

Research Interests: Clinical and basic research of hepatobiliary, pancreatic and splenic diseases.

Specialties: Diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant conditions including primary liver cancer, gallbladder cancer, cholangiocarcinoma, pancreatic cancer, hepatic hemangioma, portal hypertension, upper gastrointestinal bleeding, and intrahepatic and extrahepatic bile duct stones. He specializes in radical resection for gallbladder cancer, radical surgery for hilar cholangiocarcinoma, operations for complicated biliary stones, radical resection for pancreatic head and body‑tail cancer, minimally invasive hepatectomy, cholecystectomy and radiofrequency ablation for liver cancer. He has extensive experience in the management of invasion and metastasis of primary liver cancer.
