Education and Work Experience: He pursued his six-year undergraduate studies at Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences from 1980 to 1986. Upon graduation, he was assigned to the Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery at The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. He has worked his way up from Resident Physician, Attending Physician, Associate Chief Physician to Chief Physician, engaging in clinical practice steadfastly for more than 36 years.

Research Interests: Surgical treatment of liver cancer and cholangiocarcinoma; research on hepatic functional reserve.

He boasts rich clinical experience, exquisite surgical skills and a pragmatic and enterprising work attitude, and is highly recognized by patients.

Publications: He has published more than 10 papers in domestic and international core journals recently, including two SCI articles with impact factors of 5.228 and 2.741 respectively.

Monographs: He has participated in compiling over 10 academic monographs.

Specialties: Diagnosis and treatment of complicated disorders including liver cancer, cholangiocarcinoma (gallbladder cancer), pancreatic cancer, intrahepatic and extrahepatic bile duct stones, congenital choledochal cyst and portal hypertension. He holds distinctive insights particularly in the surgical management of liver cancer, cholangiocarcinoma and hepatolithiasis.
