He has been invited many times to give lectures internationally at conferences including the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO), Annual Conference of the International Association for Medical Education (AMEE), and Annual Meeting of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd) / College of Surgeons of Hong Kong (CSHK). He has published more than 30 SCI papers as the first or corresponding author. He has presided over multiple research grants including the General Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, General Program of Guangdong Natural Science Foundation, Key R&D Project of Guangzhou Science and Technology Bureau (innovative drugs and tumor microenvironment), Nansha District Key Livelihood R&D Project (artificial intelligence), project from Guangdong Provincial Bureau of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and CSCO Foundation grants.

He is the chief editor of the monograph A Primer for Endoscopic Breast Surgery. He serves as Standing Editorial Board Member for the Breast Disease Minimally Invasive Surgery Editorial Committee of Chinese Journal of Continuing Medical Education. He pioneered the 4C/ID training curriculum system for endoscopic and robotic breast surgery. He won the Excellence Award in the final of the “Art on Fingertips” Breast Cancer Surgery Video Competition. He was honored as one of the Second Batch of Outstanding Young Physicians in Guangdong Province and holds four national patents as the first inventor.

Research Interests: Tumor microenvironment of recurrent and metastatic breast cancer; AI-based multimodal metastasis prediction models; metabolic disorders and breast cancer risk; quality of life in breast cancer patients.

Specialties: Diagnosis and treatment of all kinds of complicated and challenging breast cases, breast plastic reconstruction, minimally invasive surgery and oncoplastic breast-conserving surgery. In particular, post-mastectomy breast reconstruction (implant and flap reconstruction) and robotic endoscopic surgery are internationally advanced.
