Education and Work Experience: He graduated from the Department of Medicine, Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences with a bachelor’s degree in 1983. He has remained working in the Department of Breast and Thyroid Surgery of the hospital ever since. He successively served as Resident Physician and Attending Physician. He was promoted to Associate Chief Physician and Associate Professor in 1998, and acted as Administrative Deputy Director of the Department of Breast and Thyroid Surgery from 2000 to 2014. He frequently participates in domestic and international academic exchanges on the clinical management of breast cancer and thyroid diseases.

Research Interests: Breast-conserving surgery and sentinel lymph node biopsy for breast cancer; early diagnosis and treatment of thyroid carcinoma.

Specialties:

1. Early diagnosis and precise treatment of breast cancer, including radical mastectomy, breast-conserving surgery, axilla-preserving surgery and breast reconstruction, as well as postoperative comprehensive therapy such as chemotherapy, endocrine therapy, targeted therapy and immunotherapy.
2. Management of benign and malignant thyroid tumors, including radical thyroidectomy, central and lateral cervical lymph node dissection for thyroid cancer, and postoperative endocrine therapy.
