Education and Work Experience: After graduating from Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences in 1996, he has been working in the Department of General Surgery at The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University ever since. He pursued his doctoral degree from 2002 to 2007 and was promoted to Associate Professor and Associate Chief Physician in 2011.

Publications: He has published nearly 20 SCI, national and provincial academic papers as the first author. Selected publications:

1. ShRNA-mediated gene silencing of β-catenin inhibits growth of human colon cancer cells.
2. Study on the correlation between Fas/FasL expression and the progression and metastasis of colorectal cancer.
3. In vitro study on shRNA targeting β-catenin inhibiting the proliferation of colon cancer cells.

Research Interests: Hernia and abdominal wall surgery; basic and clinical research on gastrointestinal malignancies and cancer stem cells.

Specialties: He has over ten years of clinical experience in general surgery and minimally invasive surgery. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of common conditions in hernia and abdominal wall surgery, general surgery and minimally invasive surgery, including abdominal wall hernias such as inguinal hernia and umbilical hernia, appendicitis, hepatic cyst, palmar hyperhidrosis and intestinal tumors.
