Research Grants: One research grant from the Provincial Science and Technology Commission and two research grants from the Health Department.

Awards: His project entitled “Molecular Biological Research and Surgical Modification for Severe Hypospadias” won the Third Prize of Guangdong Science and Technology Award in May 2003. He participated in the project “Serial Studies on the Diagnosis and Treatment of Congenital Biliary Atresia”, which received the Third Prize of Guangdong Science and Technology Award in 2001.

Publications: He has published more than a dozen research papers in renowned journals including the Chinese Journal of Pediatric Surgery, Chinese Journal of Urology, Chinese Journal of Medical Genetics, Chinese Journal of Practical Pediatrics and the Journal of Pediatric Surgery. He has been working in pediatric surgery since his graduation from Hunan Medical College in 1983 and obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree from Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences in 1997. He received further training at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, University of Southern California, USA.

Research Interests: Pediatric surgery, including pediatric urology, abdominal surgery and pediatric oncology, with a special focus on the diagnosis and treatment of hypospadias.

Clinical Expertise: He excels in the diagnosis and management of pediatric surgical diseases, and has outstanding accomplishments particularly in pediatric urological disorders.
